low carb low fat recipes

Low carb low fat recipes can keep you full, satisfied, and healthy

but won't interfere with your efforts for a lean, fit body.

Low carb low fat recipes and foods sustain you, but won't make you gain weight, like breads, cereals, and sugars.

Carbs are necessary for the body to be balanced and healthy, but it is important to eat the good carb foods.  These are complex carbohydrates, usually high in fiber and low in sugar.

Complex carbohydrates include fruits like berries and melons, and vegetables like cucumbers, celery, and spinach.

Opt for low fat carb alternatives instead of your favorite high carb foods:

  • Rice or low-carb tortillas or kale instead of flour tortillas
  • Hummus instead of refried or baked beans
  • Coconut flour instead of wheat or white flour (the difference is amazing!)
  • Zucchini fries or baked zucchini chips instead of french fries or potato chips
  • Large mushrooms, kale, cabbage or romaine lettuce instead of hamburger buns
  • Thinly sliced eggplant instead of bread
  • Cauliflower or rice noodles instead of pasta (Seriously! It's so good.)

I love making super healthy snacks and meals that taste great, provide energy, and don't pack on pounds.  It's fun to get creative with these low carb low fat recipes, and make unique food combinations you haven't seen at Whole Foods or your local cafe.
