Sugar-Free Chocolate Protein Shake
(Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and Vegan!)

I drink this chocolate protein shake every morning for breakfast.

The delicious raw cacao powder gives an awesome energy boost, but without the jitters or crash!

Chocolate Protein Shake Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop raw protein powder -- I really like Garden of Life, Vanilla.  The nutrient content is insane and it's raw!
  • 2 tbsp of organic raw cacao powder -- raw cacao is amazing.  It is very high in iron, magnesium, and is a potent antioxidant!  It gives you a strong energy boost, without the wired feeling from coffee.
  • Optional:  1 tbsp of cacao nibs -- these crunchy little niblets are like healthy nuts that pack an awesome punch.  They have all the benefits that cacao powder does, but with the bonus of Omega 3s!  Plus they are so yummy to crunch on.  Just a tablespoon is plenty ;)

Shake Instructions:

Blend above ingredients together for about 30-45 seconds and enjoy!
DELICIOSO!  Note, add the cacao nibs after you blend.

  • Fiber: 8g
  • Calories: 190
  • Sugar: <1g

The amazing thing about this shake is it's so tasty and sweet, but it has no sugar!  The Garden of Life RAW Protein powder is naturally sweetened with stevia.  Some people don't like the taste of stevia, but this shake tastes like it has sugar, not stevia. And your blood sugar won't spike!  Win-win :D
